I thought i had a sinus infection, but the antibiotics arent treating some of my symptoms...?

my ears are sort of popping every time i swallow and my head (mainly the sides & back) feel quite congested. i'm 19 & still go to a pediatrician, they aren't giving me any answers to whether this is normal with a sinus infection or not. i've been so paranoid about this that i'm considering going to get a cat scan to find out if its something serious or not. its moderate discomfort to slight pain constantly.
