Is my 9.6v intellect NiMh battery ruined?

Hey. I'm a little new to airsoft and accidentally mixed up NiMh and NiCd batteries, so I thought I should discharge my NiMh for storage. I let my smart charger discharge it for like four hours but it was on an almost full charge when I started it. I just realized now that it's wrong to do that, so I'm charging it again as I type this. My question is, is my battery completely ruined or damaged because I did this? I don't think it was completely done discharging though because the yellow discharge light was still on when I stopped it. Please help. I'm worried because I just bought this and I don't want it to be broken.
